§ The plain-English version

Privacy
policy.

Short and simple, like the hosting. Last updated 27 October 2026.

What I collect

Only what you send me: your name, your email address, and the files or instructions for your website. I use them to host your site and to reply to you. Nothing else.

The contact form

The form on this site doesn't store anything. It just opens your own email app with a message ready to send to me.

Visitor statistics on this site

This website uses Umami, a privacy-friendly statistics tool that I run on my own server. It counts page views and things like browser type and country so I can see what's useful. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and nothing is sold or shared.

Sites I host for you

I don't add adverts or tracking to the websites I host. Standard server logs are kept briefly for security and then deleted.

Where data lives

Websites are hosted on a server I rent from Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany, inside the EU, where GDPR applies.

Your rights

Ask me any time for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted: dan@brilliant-hosting.com.
